My name is Gittemary. In 2015 I switched out impulse buys, fashion week and must-haves for a zero waste and plastic-free lifestyle! Now, I create inspiration, recipes, and guides on how to get started reducing trash and finding non-materialistic values. I host lectures, classes, and workshops about my zero waste lifestyle.

In 2015 I read an article about plastic waste, this article turned out to be life changing for me. It said that, because plastic is made from oil which is a fossil material, it never truly goes away or breaks down. I started thinking about how I used plastic disposables in my everyday life, and more importantly how I could change my habits in routines. I have a Masters in English and Culture from the University of Aalborg, Denmark and for the past years, I have built my business parallel to my studies.

I have built an online platform dedicated to sustainability. For three years I have traveled, giving lectures and workshops on my zero waste lifestyle and how to quit plastic. My platform has grown to care about other topics as well. On the daily, I work with topics such as fast fashion and animal agriculture, both of which have a huge impact on our planet’s resources. I provide guides and tutorials on how to opt for second-hand clothes and sustainable materials in favour of fast fashion brands, as well as recipes and talks on how to cut out meat and dairy and how to go vegan for the sake of our environment, our health, and the animals.

From my perspective, the things that are the most important to change are the things we do every day. What we wear, how we shop, what we eat and how we live are all major contributors to pollution and climate change. I am there to help you transition into a low impact lifestyle every step of the way.
